'Substrates For Bearded Dragons (Bearded Dragon Care Guide)'

'Substrates for bearded dragons in 5 minutes! To sum up the video: - Paper substrates are super popular and super easy to clean up! - Repti carpets and sand mats are known to do more damage than good to your reptile... but it differs with every owner! - Tile is my favorite and would recommend it over any other substrate! It\'s super easy to clean but you have to make sure you don\'t get a tile that is slippery! - Loose substrate is another favorite of mine - but I would **ONLY** recommend it for bearded dragons that like to burrow and **ONLY** if your bearded dragon does NOT have ANY interest in eating the loose substrate. You also have ensure that your bearded dragon is NOT being fed live bugs where the dirt is (unless inside a bowl that they 100% cannot get out of) One of my bearded dragons love to burrow, so I tried out loose substrate with her and she loves it! However, my other bearded dragon would totally try to eat the dirt (as he already tries to eat the carpet in the apartment) so I would never put loose substrate in his enclosure. I have to feed my bearded dragon, who is on loose substrate, bugs either in a cup or on the floor - just to make sure she doesn\'t get a mouthful of dirt. Make sure to monitor your bearded dragon when trying out a loose substrate! - Sand is a major no no in my opinion. I have heard horror stories about bearded dragons on sand and do NOT recommend it!
