'Faron wants you collect all of her Tadtones before she teaches you her part of the Song of the Hero. There are 76 Tadtones split up into 17 different sets. Each member of a particular set must be gotten in a timely manner otherwise the Tadtones from that set will leave your score and return to their original location. The best way to collect them is to spin into them because this draws any nearby Tadtones into you. After collecting 7 sets some Craniocs will show up. You can kill them or dive down where they won\'t follow you. After getting 12 sets Bucha will call you up and suggest dowsing for the rest. Once you get them all, head back inside the Great Tree and talk to Faron. The location of each Tadtone group in the order I get them are: #1 (0:00): 1 Yellow - Climb up the outside of the Great Tree until you reach the part jutting out with Blessed Butterflies flying over it. Jump off of it\'s edge and land on the lilypad on the right. If you\'re already in the water use the Clawshot targets by Bucha to get onto the tree. #2 (0:28): 8 Blue - In the northeast part of the woods & to the (if facing it) left of the Viewing Platform is a group of Tadtones in a circle. #3 (0:36): 4 Pink - In the northeast part of the woods underneath the overhang part of the Viewing Platform is a group of Tadtones surrounded by spiked exploding pod things. #4 (0:47): 1 Red - In the north part of the woods there is a lone Tadtone about halfway between the Great Tree and the Viewing Platform. #5 (0:53): 8 Pink - In the east part of the woods, to the (if facing it) right of the Viewing Platform is the circular area where you had found one of the Kikwis on your first visit to the forest. These Tadtones are spread out kind of far apart so spin toward them as accurately as possible. #6 (1:24): 1 Purple - Near the middle of the map and to the south is a smaller tree that was near Bucha when you first met him. This Tadtone is located inside this tree. #7 (1:40): 4 Yellow - Near the middle of the map and to the south, these Tadtones are found underneath the tree where the sixth Tadtone was located. #8 (2:12): 4 Pink - In the southernmost part of the woods near the entrance to Lake Floria; these notes are swimming around, following a circular path. #9 (2:35): 2 Red - In the west part of the forest and near the middle is the area that\'s filled with mushrooms and usually Deku Baba. It\'s also the place that you had to chase Machi around. The Tadtones are located in a single patch of grass near a lone yellow mushroom. #10 (2:55): 16 Purple - These Tadtones are found along the narrow path along the southwestern edge of the woods. There are many poison bubbles here so be careful. #11 (3:20): 8 Green - Near the western edge of the woods is a kind of an alcove high off the ground. You had found a Kikwi here and you would\'ve gotten to it by falling through a hole. It\'s found to the north of the 16 purple Tadtones. #12 (3:37): 2 Purple - In the western part of the woods there is a path that can be seen on the map (it\'s the light brown one). This path takes you through an area with some trees and on both sides of the path there is a patch of grass. 1 of the Tadtones is in each patch so grab one then quickly spin over to the other. #13 (3:52): 4 Blue - In the middle of the woods and to the left will be a group of Tadtones swimming around in a large circle while going under a couple of overpasses in the process. This is near the location of a Piece of Heart that can be gotten by walking a tightrope. It\'s also deep underneath Bucha\'s current location. #14 (4:01): 8 Yellow - Just south of the Great Tree near the surface. Right underneath Bucha\'s lilypad. #15 (4:50): 4 Red - In the northwest part of the woods there is a small circular path with a tree in the middle that can be seen on the map. The Tadtones will be swimming along this path. #16 (5:04): 1 Green - In the northwest part of the woods and just above the Tadtones from number fifteen is a ledge with a boulder on it and a Froak nearby. Spin into the Froak so that it gets pushed into the bolder to blow it up. The Tadtone will swim out from the cave that the boulder was blocking. The Froak will return so don\'t worry about messing up. #17 (5:32): 1 Blue - This Tadtone is located right near the underwater entrance into the Great Tree. If you haven\'t disturbed it then it will be stationary right where the Deku Baba usually hangs from underneath the overpass and it will be surrounded by the spiked exploding pod things.
