'Over 50 years ago, philanthropy was the seed that inspired our hospital, which grew to become Barton Health. This same passion to serve others is what started the Barton Foundation and it still motivates us today. For 30 years, the Barton Foundation has been committed to improving the health of the South Lake Tahoe area and to moving Barton Health into the future. Since its inception in 1990, the Barton Foundation has raised more than $20 million to ensure that state-of-the-art medical care is available right here in our community.
