Heather has an amazing beauty line that resulted from a personal experience she had that can help any woman cover anything. Hi. Thank you for having me. I I\'m Heather Kvaternik. Most people call me and know me as Heather K. I have been in the beauty industry for 30 years. I\'m a licensed master aesthetician and a makeup artist, but my life changed a decade ago. I went from being a successful business owner and just promoting beauty, like any other salon owner, to being my own client. I survived a very, very violent attack by a stalker. I was left for dead. The doctors in the emergency room were standing over me not knowing how I was alive. And I had a very long journey. And one of the journeys that I had to go through was that I had to accept that I have my own physical scars on my face that took what most people just take for granted as a beautiful face and look at it every morning, I learned how to accept it. I love it. You can accept something about yourself and feel resigned, but I had to learn how to love myself again, enough to go back to taking clients. And it was a journey. And in the process, the inner journey resulted in the outer journey of formulating, taking makeup bases and formulating a custom blend, a procedure for any client, whether you\'re local to me or virtual over social media or whatever. And I can help you completely hide scars. I can help you, whether it\'s scarring, I\'ve worked with abuse survivors. I\'ve worked with burn survivors. I\'ve worked with people who have vitiligo. I work with women who have port wine stains. There\'s a technical name, but most people know it as you know, the red birthmark stain. The women who just have surface capillaries. I say just which sounds trivial. But the reality of it is that you look in the mirror every morning and that\'s what you see. And I learned how to do this so that I could help me. And I turned my business into that from there. And you\'re telling your story to help other people. And I guess the question is, do you ever have men as clients or is it always women? I do not take men as clients. I do take men who identify as females. I used to take male clients safety first, boundaries. I understand that absolutely. So somebody comes to you right now. We\'re all virtual because we\'re taping this during quarantine and things may stay virtual, some things, I think there might be a combination when we get back into where people can meet again. But since we\'re virtual, you can help people all over the world. And you have a way to do it. So what are you doing virtually with people right now? You can do it one of two ways. And my most recent client is in Texas. She\'s a higher Fitzpatrick than me, meaning she\'s a much darker skin complexion. And so I\'m like in Fitzpatrick one, as would you be. And then it goes up from there and she\'s probably about six and she challenged me and she said, you can not do it. And she refused to go virtual. She refused to have a virtual consultation. We did the whole thing through chat. And I\'m about to put up on my website, a snapshot of what she said. She said, I didn\'t think you could do it. And you, you made me a convert. I\'ve been using product XYZ for 25 years and you beat them out. And it\'s amazing. I\'m about to put that out of there because she was a true convert. She\'s a makeup artist too. She just doesn\'t do what I do, she doesn\'t custom blend, and she could not believe how it evened out. Her skin tone yet looked so very natural.
