To ensure that testing was available to the most vulnerable populations across the region, Beacon launched a mobile testing clinic in April. More than 700 patients were screened during the mobile clinic’s first three weeks in operation at various sites across St. Joseph and Elkhart Counties, Dr. Callaghan said. The clinic is located at a different location daily. Donations to the Beacon Health Foundation’s COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund, from the community, are covering the operational costs for the mobile testing clinic and the costs of testing for uninsured patients.'
