'IOSH are delighted to join together with the World Health Organization to introduce World Patient Safety Day 2020.  Through this joint IOSH/WHO webinar, the World Health Organisation would like to brief the global occupational safety and health community and the organisations of health workers on the forthcoming World Patient Safety Day on 17 September 2020 and how to participate in the global campaign to promote occupational health and safety of health workers in their institutions and countries and link to patient safety.  On 17 September, WHO will be marking World Patient Safety Day 2020 by launching a global campaign emphasising health worker safety as a  pre-requisite for patient safety and urging people to show their commitment to make health care safer for everyone. All key stakeholders — countries, international and national organisations and health care facilities are encouraged to develop national and local campaigns adapted to their context, based on this global campaign.'
