'From a simple pediatric unit to an advanced regional children’s hospital serving thousands of children across North Central Indiana and Southwestern Michigan – that’s the story behind Beacon Children’s Hospital. In 2004, Beacon Children’s Hospital received designation as an official children’s hospital from the National Association of Children’s Hospitals and Related Institutions. In 2011, Memorial Hospital affiliated with Elkhart General Hospital and came under the umbrella of Beacon Health System to expand access to care throughout our region. These two accomplished medical legacies have delivered exceptional and compassionate care for more than 100 years.
