'Students in Jess Bentz’s advance fashion class at Century High School are making a prom dress for Carly Amundson, a junior at CHS who has Down syndrome. In this video, Aliah Walth, who is in the school’s peer-to-peer leadership program and Carly’s mentor, shows Carly part of her dress. Carly couldn’t find a prom dress to fit her petite body, so the students in the class let her pick out style, color and type of fabric for her dress. The project is part of the class’s project-based learning initiatives, Betz said.'
